Community Connectors

Voices for Change Halton is partnering with Halton Community Legal Services to train Voices for Change members to be Community Connectors. The partnership will help raise awareness of the legal clinic and improve outreach to people who are reluctant to approach the clinic or who are unaware of it.

The role of a Community Connector is to connect people experiencing low income with agencies, organizations and places, including the legal clinic, where they can get help and the assistance they are entitled to.

The project recognizes Voices members’ leadership and the value of their lived experience as a source of expertise to help other applicants and recipients in the ‘system’.

This project is funded by the Legal Aid Ontario Innovations Fund.
